children playing outdoors

Here at Allambie Bush Kindy, our aim is for each child to create, laugh, learn, play and be inspired by our dedicated staff and by each other.

We follow the Early Years Learning Framework to achieve children’s important developmental goals, working in partnership with families. For us, this means exploring a child’s strengths and developing them with individual and group activities. It’s a play-based program that is constantly evaluated.

Our curriculum is also based on developing the important social and emotional life skills that your child will proudly carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Our location close to the bush allows us to take the children out to explore, investigate and connect with the natural surroundings of the area as well as learn about some of the local flora and fauna of the Northern Beaches.

How you’ll be kept involved and up to date

  • Our documentation is now primarily done through Storypark. This is an online documentation platform that allows our team to share stories about your child and weekly programs with you. You can invite other families’ members to access this as well, such as grandparents. It is a secure site that you have control over who sees the documentation of your child. Please visit Storypark for more information.
  • Our educators communicate daily with parents about the child’s day, activities and general developmental progress.
  • Each child has a detailed portfolio recorded on Storypark including observations, photos, group and individual objectives.
  • Parent meetings to discuss their child’s goals, progress and school readiness.

What we aim to provide

A safe, caring environment where the children are respected and their learning supported. An environment that is home like and, to an extent, an extension of their family. Our philosophy is made up of six pillars that are important to the centre and support who we are – a place to belong, our community, our team, children, nature, sustainability and having fun.
